The restriction on microplastics introduced by Regulation (EU) 2023/2055 represents one of the most recent and complex regulatory interventions in the field of chemicals, with a significant impact on companies involved in the production, formulation, import and distribution of mixtures and articles. In addition to bans, derogations and transitional periods, the restriction introduces a structured system of information obligations, requiring careful and well-organised management throughout the entire supply chain.
Suppliers are required to ensure the availability of structured and consistent information, including instructions for use and end-of-life management, formal declarations of compliance, and technical data relating to the nature and presence of microplastics. At the same time, the regulatory framework is expected to expand in the short term, with the introduction of data collection and reporting obligations to ECHA starting from 2026.
The webinar aims to provide an overview of downstream communication obligations, with particular reference to the information to be transmitted to customers and professional users, as well as the procedures and timelines set out by the legislation. Significant attention will also be given to reporting obligations towards the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), including the entities required to submit data, the information to be collected, and the applicable deadlines in different cases.
The webinar will last 30 minutes, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.
The webinar will be held in Italian.
An English version will be scheduled soon – stay tuned for updates!
