On 30th of September 2024, COMMISSION DELEGATED REGULATION (EU) 2024/2564 of 19 June 2024 amending Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the harmonised classification and labelling of certain substances, including certain plant protection active substances such as glyphosate, sulphur, dicamba, fenpropidin, S-metolachlor, pyraclostrobin was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
It shall apply from 1st of May 2026. However, substances and mixtures may already be classified, labelled and packaged in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended by this Regulation, from the date of entry into force of this Regulation (i.e. 20 days after publication in the Official Journal).
- Apply, as soon as possible, for a change in classification and labelling of your impacted plant protection product.
- Consider updating your dossier including the NEW HAZARD CLASSES introduced by Regulation (EU) 2023/707;
- Remember that the NEW HAZARD CLASSES apply from 1st of May 2026 also to new batches of mixtures already on the market before 1st of May 2026
