Finally, the BPC (Biocidal Products Committee), has expressed in its meeting, held on the second week of June, its favourable opinion on the approval of Alkyl (C12-16) dimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride (ADBAC/BKC (C12-16)) for PT2. Although, the CAR (Competent Assessment Report) is not available on ECHA’s website yet.
Now, the European Commission will adopt the BPC opinion and will publish the implementing regulation, where the deadline for companies requests of authorization for products/ biocidal products family will be defined. We suppose that this regulation will be published during the second half of 2023 and, consequently, the approval date could be established on the first semester of 2025.
