Alternative mitigation measures for Plant Protection Products registered in Italy

At the European and zonal levels, the risk mitigation measures for aquatic organisms outlined in the FOCUS Landscape and Mitigation guideline (SANCO/10422/2005) refer exclusively to buffer zones and drift-reducing nozzles. In 2017, an Italian Ministry of Health guideline introduced possible conversions of these measures into alternative combinations applicable within the national territory.

The application of this guideline allows for the development of a wide range of alternative solutions, adaptable to commercial and field requirements, significantly reducing the extent of buffer zones. These alternative risk mitigation measures can be calculated in a National Addendum and must then be included on the product label (possibly alongside zonal measures) to be valid.

TEAM mastery has experience in developing these alternatives and is ready to assist you in this fast yet effective label revision process for your products.
