A new SME hub has been introduced by European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) as a practical help for small and medium enterprises to comply with their European regulatory duties. The SME hub offers online tools and materials provided by Member States and ECHA, and also includes a pilot AI-powered virtual assistant. Accessible around the clock in all EU languages, the assistant supports companies in locating trustworthy information about their obligations, drawing on publicly available resources such as Q&As and other content from ECHA’s websites.
Among the services, the new hub:
- Supports SME in identifying their role in the supply chain
- Provides informative material on chemicals regulations from the national helpdesks and national enforcement authorities
- Provides support in determining company size and offers links to information on the fees and charges payable to ECHA.
