We highlight the publication of two decisions on the approval of biocidal active substances for various product types that may be of interest to companies.
In particular, Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/2005 of October 21, 2022 (O.J. of the European Union L274, Oct. 24/2022) not approving methylene dithiocyanate as an existing active substance for the purpose of its use in biocidal products of product type 12 (Preservatives against slime formation (slimicides)); and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2048 of October 24, 2022 (O.J. of the European Union L275, 25/10/2022) approving L-(+)-lactic acid as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products of product type 6 (Preservatives for products during storage).
