Companies have withdrawn their interest in getting p-[(diiodomethyl)sulphonyl]toluene (EC: 243-468-3; CAS: 20018-09-1) approved as a preservative for products during storage (product-type 6), film preservatives (product-type 7), fibre, leather, rubber and polymerised materials preservatives (product-type 9) and construction materials preservatives (product-type 10) under the biocides Review Programme.
