The European Commission has recently adopted several decisions regarding Union authorisations and the approval of active substances used in biocidal products. Specifically:
- Union authorisation has been granted for the biocidal product family “Tevan Panox Family.”
- The following active substances have been approved:
- 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (MIT) for PT6;
- Peracetic acid, generated from 1,3-diacetyloxypropan-2-yl acetate and hydrogen peroxide, for PT2.
- The approval of the active substance epsilon-metofluthrin for PT18 has been renewed.
Finally, the Commission has decided not to approved certain active substance and product-types combinations, following the withdrawal of participants from the Review Programme.
