ECHA, on behalf of the European Commission, is currently assessing exposure to N-(Hydroxymethyl)acrylamide to determine the option of an occupational exposure limit in air, together with other limit values (STEL/BLV/BGV) and relevant notations. N-(Hydroxymethyl)acrylamide is classified as a category 1B carcinogen and mutagen.
This call aims to gather new scientific information on uses, exposure, health effects, toxicology, epidemiology and mode of action. The information gathered will support regulatory initiatives on occupational exposure limit values to protect workers from chemical risks, in accordance with Directive 2004/37/EC. Relevant information will be included in the evaluation for the preparation of the scientific report.
