The European Commission has approved didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) as an active substance for the use in biocidal products for product types 1 and 2 (human hygiene and disinfectants and algaecides not intended for direct application to humans or animals) under Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
