We would like to remind companies that, starting from January 1st, 2023, Safety Data Sheets of chemical products sold in the EU will have to be compliant with Regulation (UE) 2020/878, amending Annex II of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. Indeed, the transitional period given to companies to comply with the amendment will expire at the end of 2022.
Among the changes introduced by the regulation is, for example, the requirement to indicate in Section 3 of the Safety Data Sheet any specific concentration limits related to substances, as well as the Acute Toxicity Estimate (ATE) for classified substances and M-factors associated with aquatic toxicity. New requirements for Section 9, especially related to nanoforms, and specific subsections to indicate the presence or absence of endocrine disruptors in products are also implemented.
We therefore urge you to request SDS updates from your suppliers of raw materials or chemicals that do not already comply with these requirements and arrange to update your software for preparing and managing your Safety Data Sheets.
TEAM mastery S.r.l. can offer you support in the preparation of SDS updated to the new Regulation 2020/878 and answer your doubts and questions on the subject.
