ECHA has released the draft update of the Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP) for the years 2026–2028.

The Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP) outlines which substances should be assessed over a three-year period. The purpose of this evaluation is to determine whether their manufacture or use could raise concerns for human health or the environment.

ECHA revises the plan every March, extending it by an additional year and incorporating newly identified substances. The update also involves reviewing substances already on the list and adjusting their scheduling, if needed, within the previous plan’s timeline.

The plan lists 28 substances that may pose risks to human health or the environment and are therefore being considered for substance evaluation under the REACH Regulation. Eight of these substances are newly added compared with the current 2025–2027 plan.

According to the draft, 17 substances, including one group, are scheduled for evaluation in 2026, while the remaining 10 are planned for 2027 and 2028. One substance from the previous CoRAP update is proposed for withdrawal, as current information indicates that the initial concern has been resolved and further evaluation is not needed.

The draft is expected to undergo committee review in February 2026. ECHA plans to adopt and publish the final CoRAP update on 24 March 2026, with a justification document for each substance.

By releasing the draft at this stage, ECHA not only updates stakeholders on the progress made, but also provides registrants with an early opportunity to prepare for any potential information requests from the evaluating Member State authorities.
