During 2022, inspections of biocidal products containing both approved and unapproved active substances will be strengthened, through on site and remote controls. Authorities will monitor companies’ compliance to the obligations under the Biocides Regulation (EU) 528/2012 and national legislation for the marketing of biocidal products in EU.
The project aims to enforce EU and Member State rules for biocidal products and raise awareness among companies, with the final goal of creating a safer biocides market and a level playing field for European companies. In addition, controls on disinfectants and analytical controls on products are planned.
