ECHA’s Enforcement Forum agreed to the next REACH enforcement project for 2023-2025 that will investigate the fulfillment and compliance regarding registration, authorization and restriction obligations for products and chemicals imported from outside the EU.
A recent pilot project found that 23 % of inspected products were non-compliant with requirements set out by EU law and further controls are therefore necessary. The project will require the cooperation of national customs authorities in the Member States that will manage the supervision of dangerous imported products.
