The sector organisation for fertilizers (Fertilizers Europe) has updated the use description and the input parameters for workers exposure assessment (SWEDs) and for environmental exposure assessment (SPERCs) for the typical uses of member companies. The use maps are compatible with Chesar 3.6.
Additionally, the guidelines “SPERCS for professional and consumer use of fertilizer substances – background document” and “SWEDS and SUMIS guidance” are available.
The use maps provided on ECHA’s website are an important tool for companies to facilitate the preparation of their chemical safety assessments (CSA).
