In order to ensure that products supplied online comply with REACH regulation and the requirements of CLP regulation, ECHA’s Enforcement Forum has decided to start an EU-wide project. Its Biocidal Products Regulation Subgroup (BPRS) decided to start a parallel project on biocidal products labeling. In 2025, there will be inspections for this REACH-EN-FORCE (REF)-13 project.
The goal is to verify that products supplied online, including toys, everyday home items, and chemicals, respect REACH regulations. Additionally, inspectors will verify that online offers contain the necessary information regarding the mixture’s hazards and that mixtures are compliant with the CLP regulation.
The enforcement project on biocides (BEF-3) will focus on monitoring the accuracy of product labels for biocidal products according to CLP.
