At the February meeting, the BPC approved the renewal of Dazomet and IPBC for PT8 and issued several opinions in support of Union authorizations for biocidal products containing Hydrogen Peroxide for PT2, 3, and 4, as well as for families of biocidal products containing Propan-1-ol/Propan-2-ol for PT2 and 4; Propan-1-ol/Propan-2-ol for PT1, 2, and 4; C(M)IT/MIT (3:1) and Glutaraldehyde for PT2 and 4; and Glutaraldehyde for PT6, 11, and 12.
Additionally, an opinion was issued on the data submitted to meet an Union authorization’s requirement for a family of biocidal products containing active chlorine released from sodium hypochlorite for PT2.
An opinion was also expressed regarding a request from the European Commission concerning the addition to the Union authorization of chlorocresol-based products – CID Lines NV, for a previously unauthorized use.
Finally, the committee discussed the renewal of seven anticoagulant rodenticide substances for product-type 14, but the adoption of its opinions is expected later this year.
