The Biocidal Competent Authorities agreed on the necessity to further develop recommendations for the biocidal products of in situ generated active substances.
The recommendations have been updated and a new part on the biocidal products have been included.
The ECHA’s document “In situ generated active substances and their products – Information requirements and risk assessment for approval and authorisation” (Recommendations of the BPC Working Groups Version 2, April 2025) provides technical and regulatory guidance on the use of active substances generated in situ and their precursors in the context of BPR Regulation (EU) 528/2012.
