The MoEUCC (Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change) recently published a draft regarding the postponement of registration deadlines according to KKDIK in Turkey. The deadlines, according to the new regulation, will be modified as follows.
- 31/12/2026: for substances manufactured or imported in Turkey in quantities ≥ 1000 tonnes per year; substances manufactured or imported in Turkey in quantities ≥ 100 tonnes per year and falling under Acute Aquatic 1 (H400) and Chronic Aquatic 1 (H410) hazard categories according to SEA; substances manufactured or imported in Turkey in quantities ≥ 1 tonne per year that are classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic (CMR) category 1A and 1B according to SEA
- 31/12/2028: for substances manufactured or imported in quantities ≥ 100 tonnes per year (excluding substances in the same tonnage band mentioned above)
- 31/12/2030: for substances produced or imported in quantities ≥ 1 tonne per year (excluding substances in the same tonnage band mentioned in the first point)
After a public consultation, more information regarding the extension of the opening of the pre-registration system will also be published in the Official Journal.
