The European Commission has launched a proposal to update the fees and charges payable to ECHA for services provided under the Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) 528/2012.
According to the proposal, the fees should be adjusted to reflect a cumulative inflation rate of 19.5%, calculated based on the average annual inflation rates for 2021, 2022, and 2023, as published by Eurostat. To this end, an amendment to the Implementing Regulation (EU) 564/2013 is proposed.
The proposal is currently open for public consultation until April 3, 2025. The adoption of the new regulation by the Commission is expected in the second quarter of 2025.
