The Decree of July 14, 2023 of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security implementing Directive (EU) 2023/171, which amends Annex III of the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU), has been published in the Official Gazette.
Annex III of RoHS Directive now includes exemption 9(a)-III, according to which hexavalent chromium may be used up to 0.7 % w/w as an anticorrosion agent in the working fluid of the carbon steel sealed circuit of gas absorption heat pumps for space and water heating. The exemption applies to Category 1 EEE and will expire on December 31, 2026.
