SCIP is the database for information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) contained in articles as such or in complex objects (products), established under the Waste Framework Directive.
If you are an EU producer, importer, assembler, or distributor, you are required to submit a SCIP notification to ECHA if the articles placed on the EU market contain Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) in concentrations above 0.1% weight by weight. From January 5, 2021 onwards, you have a legal obligation to submit a notification to ECHA.
