A revised version of the proposed Alternative Transitional Registration Model has been made public by the Secretary of State for the Department of Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (Defra).
The Secretary of State for Defra has taken an effort in December 2021 to investigate a different approach for handling transitional registrations under UK REACH.
On 9th November 2023, Defra released a public announcement detailing the government’s goals and developments for the creation of this new model. In addition, this announcement declares that Defra plans to hold consultations in early 2024 on several important issues pertaining to the new model that is being proposed.
