On March 24, 2025, ECHA published the updated list of active substance – product-type (AS-PT) combinations that can be used in treated articles. To facilitate consultation, the list has been divided into three parts:
- Part I: includes AS-PT combinations that are under evaluation, either within or outside the Review Programme, or have already been approved. Articles treated with a biocidal product containing an AS listed in Part I are legally on the EU market.
- Part II: includes withdrawn AS-PT combinations, for which a submission was made by 1 September 2016, but for which the period of grace has not yet expired. Articles treated with a biocidal product containing such AS should no longer be placed on the market after 180 days from the withdrawal or non-approval decision.
- Part III: includes AS-PT combinations notified for (ongoing) inclusion in the Review Programme, for which ECHA has issued a declaration of compliance in accordance with Article 17(5) of the Review Programme Regulation (EU) No. 1062/2014, or where the notification is being processed. Articles treated with a biocidal product containing an AS listed in Part III are legally on the EU market.
