On December 24, 2024, the Ministry of Health granted a derogatory authorization for the marketing and use of disinfectants for intact skin prior to medical treatment containing 2% Chlorhexidine Digluconate as the active ingredient in 100-250-500 ml packaging, as biocides corresponding to previously authorized medical-surgical devices.
Subsequently, on February 26, 2025, the Ministry of Health issued a replacement decree, allowing the marketing and use of the aforementioned products under derogation, regardless of packaging size and no longer limited to 100-250-500 ml containers.
