ECHA announced that starting in summer 2025, the format of list numbers assigned through REACH-IT will change: since the numbers in the current format are running out, the new system will switch from numeric to alphanumeric while maintaining the same length.
- Current format: 100-000-1
- New format: A00-001-5
Companies may need to update their external recording systems to accommodate the new format. List numbers assigned before the change will remain unchanged.
