The XXI° ATP to CLP regulation has been published. This amendment modifies and introduces harmonized classifications for various substances.
We consider this update particularly relevant as it concern substances widely used in strategic sectors:
- Ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide, substances commonly used in adhesives. New harmonizations defining binding acute toxicity values have been set
- Benzyl alcohol, cinnamaldehyde and resorcinol used in cosmetic fragrances and perfumes
- 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT), biocidal active substance and one of the most widely used isothiazolinones in preservatives. It’s SCL for H317, now set to ≥ 0,05 %, is lowered to ≥ 0,036 % and H330 and H410 are added
- Difenoconazole, cymoxanil, bifenox (ISO) and many more plant protection active substances
Regulation will apply starting from September 1st, 2025, and will imply, as usual, the update of SDSs and labels of the concerned products.
