After a consultation of the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), it has been agreed to postpone, for a three-year period, the current UK REACH submission deadlines for each tonnage band.
In particular the deadlines will be adapted as follows:
- October 2023, dealine for Candidate list substances included in the EU REACH before UK REACH came into effect, substances that are cancerogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction (CMR) and maunfacured / imported above 1 t/y; substances that are very toxic to aquatic life and manufactured / imported in quantities of 100 t/y or more; and all substances manufactured / imported above 1000 t/y. The deadline will be postponed to October 2026.
- October 2025, deadline for substances manufactured / imported in quantities of 100 t/y or more. Deadline postponed to October 2028.
- October 2027, deadline for all substances manufactured / imported above 1 t/y. Deadline postponed to October 2030.
