ECHA has published a draft guidance on the identification and assessment of Substances of Concern (SoC) under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). The document is designed to support applicants and Member State Competent Authorities in identifying SoC and conducting the related assessments.
The draft is currently under review by experts from the Biocidal Products Committee Working Group and representatives of Accredited Stakeholder Organisations. The final guidance is expected to be published in July 2027, following completion of the consultation process.
