How to build a family of biocidal products according to BPR

Introduction

Manufacturers and suppliers of biocidal products that have similar composition, similar to each other in terms of use, risk profile and efficacy as well as sharing similar restrictions, can benefit from the Biocidal Product Family (BPF) concept introduced by the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). The main advantage of this procedure is that all products that fall within the same family are included within a single authorization; consequently, placing it on the market is simpler.
