Recently, on November 7 2024, ECHA included Trifenyl Phosphate in the SVHC Candidate List, which now contains 242 substances. Used as a flame retardant and plasticiser, Trifenyl Phosphate has been classified as an endocrine disruptor.
The inclusion brings legal obligations:
Inclusion entails several obligations including informing downstream users for articles with SVHC concentrations above 0.1%, updating of Safety Data Sheets, notifying ECHA of articles with SVHC above 0.1% in the SCIP database, etc.
