Significant product non-compliance was highlighted, indicating the need for targeted interventions. Regulatory complexities and the presence of “free-riders” were identified as major challenges, with strong support for enforcement actions and awareness campaigns, especially for SMEs.
Participants also reported problems with labels and advertising due to the complexity of BPR regulations. The importance of chemical testing to ensure a safe market was emphasized, and more clarity was requested in future reports, distinguishing disinfectant findings from other non-compliances.
