On July 23, 2024, Ukraine approved Resolution No. 847, introducing the Ukraine REACH regulation. This country is aligning with European standards on chemical safety. The regulation will come into force on January 26, 2025, and all chemicals on the market must comply with this regulation.
Registration Deadlines
The pre-registration of chemicals already on the market must be completed by January 26, 2026.
The registration deadlines are as follows:
- October 1, 2026: For substances ≥ 1000 t/year, CMR and hazard to the aquatic environment.
- June 1, 2028: For substances in the range of 100–1000 t/year.
- March 1, 2030: For substances in the range of 1–100 t/year.
Substances already registered under the EU REACH regulation can be registered in a simplified manner with reduced requirements.
The Ukrainian REACH regulation requires authorization for 59 hazardous substances listed in Annex XIV, with a compliance deadline of June 1, 2027. Applications for specific uses must be submitted to the Ministry of Environment.
